Return Policy
We want you to feel and look amazing in your dress. We welcome you to email or DM us prior to making a purchase if you are unsure of your size or a displayed color. This policy is for online sales only. Sales purchased in our Hudson, Massachusetts store must follow the return policy on your receipt and displayed in store. Retail store policy is also outlined at the bottom of this page.
Returns & How to Return
In the event you do not love your Lady Black Tie dress, you can ship it back within 14 days from the date your package is marked as delivered for an online store credit that never expires. We do not issue refunds for returns. We will gladly accept a return of unworn, unwashed, unmarked, unaltered, and undamaged merchandise with all tags intact for an online store credit. Our dresses are shipped out in reusable, eco-friendly packaging to simplify your return back to us. We do not provide return labels.
You do not need to wait on us to start your return, just begin shipping if you're within the eligible return window.

-Please include your invoice in your return package so that we can easily locate your order in our system and notify you once your return is processed. If you don’t have it, please write your name and order number inside your package.
-Returns are processed within 2-4 business days. You will be notified by email when your credit is issued for your return. Your online credit does not expire, so there is no rush if you want to wait for new styles to launch or wait to use it on something you love.
-Heavily discounted items marked "FINAL SALE" in the product title or description are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
TO EXCHANGE:
If you want to exchange an item or size, please return your original order within 14 days and use the store credit that will be emailed to you once your return is processed. We process all returns within 2-4 business days from the date we receive your item back to our warehouse; so keep your eye out for the email confirming your return has been issued if you want to use your credit right away. Please note: we do NOT issue refunds, so if you place a separate order for a different size BEFORE you receive your returned store credit, we will not be able to retroactively apply the store credit to a previous order. Remember, we issue your credit within 2-4 business days of receiving the item back, so we will be super fast if you need your new dress very soon!

APPROVED RETURN CHECKLIST:

Dress must be in original, resellable condition

All tags and hanging ribbons must be in intact

Dress must show no signs of wear. Please take due care when trying on your dress, as make-up stains, spray tan or dirt on the dress will make a return ineligible

Dress must be un-perfurmed and have no odors, cigarette scent or pet hairs

Dress must not have been washed or altered in any way.
- Items must not have been worn.
Items returned that do not meet the above requirements will not be issued a credit and you will be responsible for postage back to you. We will notify all customers who have sent us unqualified returns for any of the above checkmarks. We reserve the right to refuse a returned item if there are any signs of wear, alteration, misuse or damage.
If you send back an item that does not qualify for a return OR if we receive a package back from the shipping carrier due to the address provided being undeliverable, then you will be responsible to pay a return shipping charge. We will hold non-returnable merchandise or packages returned by the shipping carrier for 14 days. After 14 days, the items will be donated to charity.
Faulty Item
In the rare event there is a manufacturing defect or other problem with your dress, please contact us at info@ladyblacktie.com within 72 hours of the delivery of your dress to inform us of the issue. If we are not notified within 72 hours of receiving the item, it cannot qualify for a replacement. You must include a photo of the damage/defect with your email for us to address your concern. Our policy is that we will ship you a replacement of the same dress. If you don't want your replacement dress, we issue a 115% store credit.
In the event due to human error, a wrong size, color or style is shipped to you, first, we are so sorry this happened! We will replace your dress with the correct one ASAP, and you will be provided with a return label for what you were shipped. Please email us at info@ladyblacktie.com right away so we can get this taken care of for you.
PRE-ORDER ITEMS
Pre-ordered items and special orders are nonrefundable. Most of our pre-order styles are made to order. If you no longer need the specific style, we are happy to provide you with a store credit (that will not expire) to put towards something else at a later date. ITEMS PURCHASED IN OUR RETAIL STORE/SHOWROOM
Showroom purchases are made with the ability to try on our dresses before you buy.
Therefore, dresses that have been purchased or special ordered from our Hudson, MA showroom cannot be returned or exchanged. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. We do not offer return or exchange for in-store purchases or special orders placed in store due to change of mind or change of circumstance. This policy is displayed on your in-store receipt and is on display at checkout.

When Is My Order Shipping?
Most orders ship right away! These are shipped out within 1-2 business days of purchase.
‘Processing time varies depending on color/size ordered’: Processing times may vary depending on the color and size of the gown ordered. Certain styles are regularly restocked, which may affect dispatch times. Your gown will ship upon the arrival of the reorder or upon completion of production.
‘Made-to-order’: Your gown will ship once the gown has been completed.
'Pre-Order': Pre-order means that the product is not currently in stock and will be coming soon; you can place your order as per normal if you'd like to secure your size before the item arrives with us. For more information on Pre-Orders ladyblacktie.com/pages/pre-order-policy
We encourage you to email us info@ladyblacktie.com if you have any questions about a specific gown's availability and estimated ship date before placing an order. We will reach out to you if there is a delay in the typical shipping time for your order.
As a company, we recommend ordering floor-length gowns well in advance of your event to allow time for any necessary alterations or hemming. Orders received before 1:00 pm EST are typically processed and shipped on the same day of the order. Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday are processed on Monday. Keep in mind that the shipping time frames are not from the time of checkout, but rather from the date the dress is processed and shipped. We will do our best to get you the dress prior to the wear date you listed at check out, however please note we do not offer guarantees based on the customer's listed wear date.
How Long Does Shipping Take?
Shipping times depend on the chosen service. Please be aware that the provided estimates start from the date your order is shipped from our warehouse, not from the time of checkout. Delivery could take slightly longer for more remote regions or international orders. This is just an estimate and does not include Sundays, Holidays, or any weather delays USPS, UPS or DHL Express may have in making the delivery. Delivery dates are estimates only and not guaranteed.
NOTE: We ship to the address you provide, so please ensure all information is 100% accurate. We are not responsible for any lost packages or delays that UPS, USPS, or DHL Express may experience. If you have any issues with your delivery, please reach out to USPS, UPS or DHL Express for support.

PLEASE NOTE: if you are exchanging a product and your total dollar amount with store credit comes out to $0 then the $9.00 shipping charge will apply.

International orders might take longer to arrive, depending on how the order is processed in your country's customs. Any shipping option you pay is always non-refundable.
International Taxes and Duties are the responsibility of the customer. The customer is responsible for any customs fees instituted by their country. Customs fees are not charged by or sent to Lady Black Tie, and we have no insight into the cost of the customs fees that may be charged upon order arrival into any country. For any questions related to international customs fees, please reach out to your local appropriate government entity.

Many of our items are in-stock and ship direct from our location in Hudson, Massachusetts, USA.
